The Richards Dream

For over 10 years we've had a dream to start a rescue center/orphanage in Kenya. This will be for battered women, widows and orphans.

There are a lot of abused women who feel like there is no hope but to “stick it out" because there is no where to run to. We want to give them hope. The women will be taught a skill to help them get back up on their feet, while they help with the orphans that will be at the rescue center.

We want the children to be raised and loved the right way. God's way. So a place of worship will be provided for everyone.

We will grow crops on the land to help feed the people that will be at the rescue center & to also help keep it self sufficient.

So 2 years ago we took the step to make this dream a reality. We went to Kenya & purchased 5 acre piece of land where it will be getting built. See pictures below..

First things first. We need water.

We need to drill a well to provide water for irrigation on the land to grow crops, and to provide fresh water for the community. This is pretty costly but God will provide.

We have had a lot of you ask how you can help or get involved. Some have even offered to go to Kenya to build. How awesome?! We will keep you all updated as the plans unfold on how you can get involved. But if you have suggestions, feel free to reach out to us :)
